LIFT’s operating system is incredibly user-friendly, requiring only one setting adjustment. Once the sample is in focus, simply adjust the exposure time and LIFT’s Snap processing will handle the rest. LIFT excels with cyanoacrylate-treated prints and performs exceptionally well with fluorescent powders, making it easy to integrate into existing workflows. Because most officers are already trained in fingerprint powder application, adopting LIFT requires minimal additional training — the process feels familiar, but the results are dramatically better. This versatility allows departments to start using LIFT effectively right away without overhauling their current methods. With LIFT’s fully integrated optics and LED, there’s no need to blackout the room – LIFT can capture images in ambient light thanks to its high signal-to-noise ratio. Our interface is designed for simplicity—users with basic latent print training can master the system in less than 20 minutes.
It's Fast
LIFT’s integrated camera system can capture in fractions of a millisecond. With its sensor, most fluorescent images are captured within 1 to 30 milliseconds. The embedded “Live Screen” feature provides image inversion without needing an alternate light source for evidence review. It’s so fast that examiners can even hand-hold evidence during capture if necessary. With each snap, LIFT generates nine optimized images with varying contrast adjustments, essential for latent examiners to identify unique points on a print. This streamlines evidence review and reduces time plotting minutia. LIFT’s rugged design isn’t confined to the lab—it can be mounted in a crime scene investigation vehicle. This enables latent prints to be analyzed at the scene, reducing the backlog in crime labs. With LIFT, you can produce hits in minutes rather than months. Each high-quality image takes less than five minutes to capture and is ready for immediate analysis, eliminating the bottlenecks of traditional scopes. LIFT captures images in an unaltered TIFF format. Zero alterations, no denoising, no sharpening or smoothing, no color mask – our nondestructive processing means testifying is simplified.
LIFT captures curved and uneven surfaces with unmatched clarity, thanks to its 1 cm depth of field and fixed-focus design. It can easily image challenging items — even small objects like 9mm shell casings — without the need for refocusing or repositioning. Every image is captured at 1,000 PPI, ensuring it’s ready for immediate submission to latent print databases. LIFT features an integrated 2.5-watt, single diode LED with pass-through illumination, making it the most efficient excitation power available. This means LIFT can reveal more ridgeline data than its competitors, ensuring superior results. LIFT is non-destructive to DNA, allowing latent print examiners to process items before they’re sent for DNA analysis. This opens up new opportunities to examine evidence that was previously off-limits, enabling labs to maximize information recovery from every item without compromising downstream DNA testing.
